The Garmin Alpha 300i is an updated model from the Alpha 200i GPS dog tracking handheld device. It has a new vivid 3.5” capacitive touchscreen display which is a lot better than the Alpha 200 under strong sunlight. The Alpha 300i has the same easily control training functions by using the button-operated, dog-focused design with Alpha 200i headheld unit. It is still offering 18 levels of static stimulation, tone or vibration when paired with TT15x and TT25 collar. The runtime of Alpha 300i handheld is also doubled from Alpha 200i which lasts up to 55 hours per full charge.

Garmin inReach devices require satellite subscription activation to function. The service provided is an inReach two-way satellite communicator service, which uses the Iridium low orbit satellite network together with inReach customer equipment, which is sold separately. Customers can use the satellite service to send and receive text messages to a cell phone (SMS) number or email address, as well as SOS messages and location-based (GPS) tracking services.

After purchasing an inReach device, register it at inreach.garmin.com, then choose a subscription plan. inReach consumer subscription plan details and compares consumer plan options:

Connection charge: $29.00 (AUD) one-time subscription activation fee.

Minimum Term: The minimum term for Freedom plans is 30 days. The minimum term for an Annual/Contract plan is 1 year with 12 monthly payments.

Freedom plans: The minimum term is 30 days. It can be suspended a month at a time at no charge, and a user retains access to inReach data stored on the Explore portal.

Annual/Contract plan: The minimum term is 12 month. It can move up a plan for free (paid off difference).

All prices are subject to change. inReach devices require satellite subscription activation to access the Iridium® satellite network for live tracking and messaging functions, including SOS.

All plans are billed monthly. Subscription plans listed above are for individual consumers only. Plans include applicable GST. Additional charges apply to text messages, tracking points, and location pings exceeding selected plan limits. For Service Plans that include unlimited texting or tracking, message transmission speeds may be reduced following a period of heavy use. SOS message transmission speed will not be impacted. All annual plans are subject to $29 AUD activation fee. No charge applies to changing to a more inclusive annual plan; a $37 AUD fee applies to changing to a less inclusive annual plan.

Enrolment in Freedom plans is subject to a $37 AUD annual fee. Freedom plans’ minimum term is 30 days. New 30-day minimum applies to changed Freedom plans. No charge applies to changing a Freedom plan. Service can be suspended a month at a time at no charge. User retains access to inReach data stored on Garmin Explore™ portal while account is suspended.
